Palina Krause, Dancer & Owner of Primitiv Bar, Friedrichshain

October 19, 2014

This is Palina. Palina was born in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan and moved to Papenburg in Germany with her family when she was twelve years old. She studied dance in the Netherlands and traveled Europe for a couples of dance jobs until she finally moved to Berlin in 2004. “I came to Berlin because I wanted to invent myself new,” she says, “Berlin was fast-growing and so international, and it was just the right place for that.” In 2008 she opened Primitiv Bar with a friend. “I am a cosmopolitan,” Palina says. “Berlin is cosmopolitan, and so I wanted the bar to be cosmopolitan too.” According to her there are two great things about Berlin. First, the high class theater scene for grown-ups as well as for children. And second, there is an incredibly big variety of good food and amazing cocktails. “And yes,” she adds, “in Berlin absolutely everybody can invent himself. And there is really something for anybody in this wonderful city.”

Primitiv Bar, Simon-Dach-Straße 28, 10245 Berlin-Friedrichshain, S-Bahn/U-Bahn: Warschauer Straße, Opening Hours: Wed-Mon 6pm till open-end, Tue 2.30pm till open-end
