September 21, 2014

Meet Maxim Filimonov. Maxim is actually from Bashkiria but lived in Birsk and in Perm for a while where he studied Psychology and wrote on his dissertation. In Perm he was working as an editor and a news anchorman for the Russian national radio station until he met his wife-to-be who would change his life for good. They fell in love, married and went to Bucharest and Bonn together to live there for a while. In Bonn he was working for Deutsche Welle where he was responsible for its Social Media in Russia. “We always wanted to move to Berlin”, he says, “and when you move from Bonn to Berlin, it just feels like home.” He likes most about the city that there are many foreigners and that life is way more relaxed here than in any other city. “There are many creative people in Berlin,” he continues, “and thanks to my wife I have a lot of German friends as well.” Maxim now works as an editor for Deutsche Welle. He and his wife enjoy life at Berlin-Weißensee.
