This is Dominik. Dominik is actually German but lived in Moscow for 7 years. That was from 2003 to 2010. In the Russian capital, he worked as an illustrator for Art. Lebedev Studio, the biggest design studio in Russia. Also, he worked as an art director for the young label of Bank Soyus and Ross Inter Restaurants. His last year living in Moscow, he illustrated the Lebedev Comic adaption of the novel “The Inhabited Island” by the famous Russian Sci-Fi writers the Strugatsky brothers, which was made into a film by Fyodor Bondarchuk. “The times in Moscow between 2005 and 2008 were extremely cool,” Dominik says. “There was an atmosphere of departure, and something very own and particular for Russia was happening. Moscow developed its own identity and I was very thankful to be a part of it.” Dominik has been living in Berlin since 2010. In Berlin he worked for Lieferheld, daWanda and is currently the head of design for Salonmeister. He published his first comic novel Kazka, exhibited his work in Moscow and St. Petersburg and is co-organizer of Comic Invasion Berlin.
