Zoopark Publishing Collective launches Zoopark Studio [Berlin] in Kreuzberg

Zoopark Publishing Collective is a team of two Russian photographers, Tatyana Palyga and Alexander Bondar, officially named Zoopark Collective since 2016, but actually united already in 2010 with the aim of self-publishing of the two artists’ work. They share the same passion for photography and bookmaking and while being independent authors they feel the need to act collectively to push through our vision on photography and modes of its circulation.

The independent collective is engaged in publishing limited edition photobooks and zines based on photography, illustrations and texts. Since 2016 they publish a periodical magazine called Zoopark. So far, the collective has published more than a dozen of publications that can be found in specialized shops in Russia, Europe and Japan. Their photobooks and zines took part in numerous photobook festivals, such as Vienna Photobook Festival, Liege Photobook Festival, Miss Read Berlin and many other events.

On June 7th Zoopark Studio will open its doors in Kreuzberg! Zoopark Studio [Berlin] is a showroom/gallery for limited edition photography and graphic prints, artist books, zines by Zoopark Publishing and other Russian and Eastern European artists. A publishing office, space for events, workshops, and artist talks.

At the Studio launch on June 7th, you will get an opportunity to see the first exhibition of all the artist books that the Zoopark Publishing Collective has in Berlin, accompanied by an installation of photography and silkscreen prints, which you will then be able to buy at a special price. Of course, they will also take care of music, drinks and nice vibes!
